My Medium friend Kallol Mazumdar is educating me with his stories and poetry — legends, fables, and deep dives into his spiritual heritage.

Earlier, I had commented that Westerners freely toss the word Karma into conversations without understanding its meaning to him and fellow believers: an utter conviction the consequences of today’s actions will be revisited upon us in this life or a future one.

Such flippancy is highly offensive to others where it is a deep and fundamental part of their belief systems.

Where is our future? Why are we humans compelled to explore space, the universe, and this planet?
